Starting from Pachnai, one of the popular routes to Harishchandragad, this trek takes you through lush green trails, open plateaus, misty valleys, and spectacular Sahyadri landscapes. Explore the historic Harishchandragad Fort, visit the ancient Harishchandreshwar Temple and Kedareshwar Cave, and experience the dramatic Konkankada. The highlight of this season is the changing landscape of the Sahyadris—where greenery meets colourful wildflowers and the skies gradually open up to offer clearer mountain views. Harishchandragad Trek

Sahyadri

  • 03:30 AM – Arrival at Pachnai (Base Village)

Freshen up, get ready, and prepare for the trek.

  • 04:15 AM – Trek Begins

Start the trek through the peaceful early-morning trails of Pachnai, surrounded by greenery and seasonal wildflowers like Karvi and Sonki.

  • Reach Taramati Peak, the highest point of Harishchandragad, and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Sahyadri ranges.

  • Reach Konkankada and explore the spectacular Konkankada and enjoy its dramatic cliffs and expansive valley views.

Follow the trek team's safety instructions while exploring.

  • Breakfast at Fort Base Enjoy a simple breakfast with hot chai and recharge for the fort exploration.

  • Explore Harishchandragad Explore the historic fort and visit the Harishchandreshwar Temple, Saptatirtha Pushkarni, and Kedareshwar Cave.

  • Reach Pachnai, complete the descent, and enjoy an authentic Maharashtrian village-style vegetarian lunch.

  • Departure for Pune Board the bus and begin the return journey to Pune.

Rules of the trip

  • Smoking and Alcohol Consumption: Smoking and consumption of alcohol are strictly prohibited throughout the trek.

  • Bus Timings: Departure and arrival timings may vary depending on traffic, weather, road conditions, and other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Luggage Guidelines: Please avoid carrying trolley bags or sling bags. Participants are advised to carry only a single backpack or rucksack for convenient travel and trekking.

  • Keep the Trails Clean: Throwing garbage or litter on the trekking trail is strictly prohibited.

  • Carry Your Waste: Participants are responsible for carrying their own waste until they reach a designated disposal point.

  • Team Captain's Decision: In case of any unexpected situation or disagreement during the trek, the decision of the Team Captain/Leader will be considered final and will be taken in the best interest and safety of all participants.

  • Changes in Itinerary: The itinerary is subject to change at any time. Wandrcrew reserves the right to alter, modify, amend, or change the tour package or itinerary before or during the trip due to weather conditions, traffic, operational requirements, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances. Reasonable efforts will be made to inform participants about any significant changes as early as possible.
