Spiti Valley Circuit
The middle land, by road
The journey
Spiti is not a place you visit; it is a place you slowly earn. We drive in from the green Kinnaur side so your body adjusts, then climb into a bare, beautiful desert where the Spiti river cuts through ochre gorges. You will spin prayer wheels at Tabo — a monastery older than most countries — stand on the ledge of Dhankar, send a postcard from Hikkim, the world's highest post office, and sleep in family homes where dinner is a story exchange. The journey ends over Kunzum La at the crescent lake of Chandratal, under the thickest stars you have ever seen.
Fitness required
You should be comfortable walking 3–4 km a day at altitude. No prior high-altitude experience needed — the itinerary is graded for acclimatisation — but please disclose any cardiac or respiratory conditions before booking.

Good to know

Traveller reviews
"I went for the photographs and came back with something harder to describe. Sleeping in family homes in Langza, watching my trip leader quietly rearrange the whole day so a sick teammate could rest — this company operates on a different frequency. Spiti is otherworldly; Wandrcrew made it personal."
